Some crimes are not just illegal — they are inhuman.
Some individuals are not just criminals — they are symbols of moral collapse.
Jeffrey Epstein was one such symbol.
I do not write this as a person chasing headlines. I write this as a citizen, a father, and a human being who refuses to accept how easily power, money, and influence can protect evil.
Epstein was not a mystery.
He was not a lone wolf.
He was not “clever enough to escape justice.”
He was enabled.
For years, accusations followed him—of abusing minors, of trafficking young girls, of operating in plain sight with the confidence that comes from knowing you are protected. And protected he was. By wealth. By silence. By powerful names that never made it to courtrooms.
The most disturbing part is not just what he did—but what the system allowed.
When justice bends for the rich, it breaks for the innocent. When influence overrides law, society sends a dangerous message: some lives matter less.
And then came his death in custody.
Convenient. Final. Questionable.
With that, many truths were buried alongside him. Survivors were denied full closure. Society was denied accountability. And the powerful walked away, untouched.
Why should a hospitality industry publication speak about this?
Because hospitality, at its core, is about care, safety, and trust. Hotels, resorts, airlines, and travel spaces must be sanctuaries—not hunting grounds. The Epstein case forces every industry that deals with people to ask a hard question:
Are we doing enough to protect the vulnerable?
Silence is not neutrality.
Silence is permission.
We owe it to the victims—not just of Epstein, but of every system that shields predators—to keep asking uncomfortable questions. To refuse to normalize privilege over justice. To demand accountability, no matter how influential the accused may be.
The devil doesn’t always come with horns.
Sometimes, he comes with money, connections, and a smile the system chooses not to question.
